Early booking data from FlixBus shows that public demand for intercity bus travel between FIFA World Cup host cities has experienced a strong start, with a number of departures sold out and others filling rapidly.

Data also shows that fans are planning to take multi-city trips across several host cities, with the Northeast corridor emerging as the top travel hotspot for fan attendance.

Watts Coaches and FlixBus partnership announced
FlixBus will offer services to fans across North America throughout the FIFA World Cup tournament

Top routes thus far include New York City – Boston, Orlando – Miami, Seattle – Vancouver and Houston – Dallas.

Kai Boysan, CEO of parent company Flix North America, said:

We're seeing early demand build on key corridors between nearby host cities, particularly where travel times are short and service is frequent.

That pattern is consistent with fans planning to attend matches in multiple locations, and it's something we're continuing to monitor as we plan for the tournament.
