Yutong has celebrated its gradual expansion across the globe, with a huge number of its hybrid vehicles now operating in 206 cities around the world.
Covering markets such as South America, Central and North America, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Asia; Yutong has reached cumulative sales of 33,000 units, establishing a worldwide operational network for the company’s hybrid buses.

Highlighting deployments in Mexico, Yutong has stated that its vehicles have aided operators in the cutting of fuel consumption, as well as operational costs, whilst continuing to meet heavy-duty transport demands. Operational statistics have shown that as of March 2026, the country’s fleet of 471 Yutong hybrid buses has travelled a combined distance of over 34.43 million kilometres, recording an average fuel consumption of 28.98 litres per 100 km – saving more than 35% of fuel when compared with diesel buses operating under identical conditions.
Local Mexican operators commented:The buses run quietly with spacious interiors, delivering a superior riding experience. Meanwhile, they are highly fuel-efficient, making the hybrid versions extremely cost-effective in overall operation.
In Uruguay, Yutong has supplied a total of 178 hybrid buses since its first delivery in 2019, all of which have achieved a fuel saving rate of 46.06% to date – lowering overall operating expenses across the board.
In Kazakhstan, Yutong hybrid buses have now completed trial operations in five different cities, with their performance thus far having gained customer trust. New procurement orders will also see more vehicles delivered throughout 2026.
For markets such as the Middle East, Yutong hybrid buses have undergone long-term operational validation. In Pakistan, the fleet has covered over 3.46 million kilometres in total, maintaining an annual availability rate above 98% and delivering support for the local public transport system.
Yutong has stated that its growing operational represents the ‘best proof’ of the value of its hybrid products in the global market.
