Switch Mobility has partnered with JSW to provide 71 electric buses that will transport employees in India.
This marks Switch’s first and largest electric bus order in the country for employee transportation.
The 71 buses will be delivered to JSW Steel for commuters working at its Vijayanagar plant.
Switch Mobility will own and oversee the operations, including the set-up of charging infrastructure and the provision of maintenance over a 12-year contract period.

The air-conditioned SWITCH EiV 12 buses will be equipped with Switch Mobility’s connected technology solution, SWITCH iON. This platform will enable remote, real-time diagnostics and monitoring services, as well as digital battery management.
The buses will operate using lithium-ion NMC batteries, specially formulated for India’s climate.
