PEI Mobility will supply the bellows for the new 18-meter articulated electric buses destined for the French city, joining forces with IVECO BUS for the Limoges Métropole electrification project.

PEI Mobility once again confirms its position as a strategic partner of excellence in the European public transport ecological transition. The company will stand alongside IVECO BUS, a historical partner for over ten years, in a new and ambitious project: the electrification of the bus fleet for Limoges Métropole in France.

A consortium led by IVECO BUS, in collaboration with Dalkia Electrotechnics, was recently awarded a major framework contract to supply a new zero-emission fleet, ranging between 20 and 45 articulated electric buses. The model chosen to lead this green revolution is the advanced GX 437 Elec Linium (marketed outside the French market as the E-Way 18-meter battery-electric bus), a vehicle engineered to ensure environmental sustainability and peak performance in urban environments.

In this highly innovation-driven scenario, PEI Mobility’s technical expertise will play a key role. The company has been selected as the official supplier of the gangway systems, which are essential components to guarantee the flexibility and safety of the 18-meter articulated vehicles.

Specifically, to complement the meticulous restyling work planned for the Limoges Métropole project, PEI Mobility will manufacture the bellows for up to 45 articulated buses, offering two different types of finishes: a solution featuring an elegant, classic grey fabric, and a variant equipped with an innovative translucent fabric. This latter option is highly valued in modern mobility projects, as it allows natural light to filter through, enhancing the brightness of the interior and making the travel experience more pleasant for passengers.

With this new supply contract, PEI Mobility reaffirms its leading position as a reliable and innovative partner for major local public transport vehicle manufacturers, actively supporting them in the crucial transition toward electric and sustainable e-mobility.
