Yutong subsidiary Pelican Bus & Coach is launching its new E9 electric bus in the UK.

The new model is just 8.94 metres long and 2.42 metres wide. According to Pelican, this makes it highly manoeuvrable in both rural and urban settings.

Yutong E9
The Yutong E9 can carry up to 64 passengers
Ian Downie, Head of Yutong Sales said:

The introduction of the smaller E9 to our zero emission portfolio is an exciting addition. With three different single deck sizes, and the only zero emission coach in the UK, the Yutong offering provides customers with real choice. The size and manoeuvrability of the E9 makes it ideal for a number of applications. The first vehicle is currently in build, with orders already received for March 2023 delivery.

The vehicle is equipped with 255kWh batteries and the Yutong Electric Safety System (YESS), as well as air conditioning to ensure passenger comfort.
