Solaris has officially unveiled its brand-new production hall, which is situated in the municipality of Środa Wielkopolska.
The investment is expected to increase the company’s manufacturing capacity and represents a key element of its growth strategy, which is aimed at strengthening its position within the zero-emission public transport sector across Europe.

Located in the Środa Wielkopolska area, the newly commissioned hall is laid out over a total area of over 7,000 square metres, and has been dedicated to the final assembly of city buses.
Until now, this production stage was handled in Bolechowo near Poznań, but henceforth will be carried out simultaneously across both sites, with the new facility expected to increase Solaris’ existing production capacity by roughly 500 vehicles per year.
The new facility also marks an important milestone in the company’s journey to achieving an annual production and sales rate of 2,000 vehicles per year, and has already already created nearly 300 direct jobs, with several hundred additional positions generated indirectly among regional suppliers.
Agata Stańda, CEO of Solaris, said:We are investing in expanding our production capacity and product portfolio to meet the growing demand for sustainable transport in Europe and in new markets.
In addition to the new production hall in Środa Wielkopolska; Solaris has also announced plans to build another manufacturing facility in the area, for which 47 hectares of land have already been secured.
The factory, which will also be dedicated to intercity buses, is expected to reach operational readiness in 2029.
