Switch Mobility has launched the SWITCH EiV 12 for the electric bus market in India.
Switch Mobility has already received over 600 orders for the EiV, which is available as a low-floor or standard model.
The electric vehicle components of the EiV platform are alike to Switch Mobility’s recently launched European Switch e1 bus. The EiV 12 is also embedded with Switch Mobility’s connected technology solution, Switch iON, which enables remote, real-time diagnostics and monitoring services.

The EiV platform has been designed and built in India for the Indian market and can be configured for varied environments such as intra-city, intercity, staff, school and tarmac environments.
The buses are equipped with highly efficient, modular batteries with advanced lithium-ion NMC chemistry, specially designed for India’s climatic conditions. These batteries have a range of up to 300 kilometres per day with single charge.
