Greyhound and FlixBus have now fully integrated their technology and booking services to provide an extended intercity bus network.
The combined booking system will enable customers to easily search, book and travel on either service throughout North America following FlixBus’s acquisition of Greyhound in 2021.
Max Zeumer, COO responsible for Flix North America, said:I’m very proud of the team who drove and achieved this historical integration through 16 months of intense work, and this booking service switch will strengthen our business. As a result of all efforts to complete this integration, customers will benefit from more travel options, and in years to come, this synergy will be even stronger, increasing the route offering and combination possibilities.
Greyhound customers will also now benefit from Flix’s global technology system to book travel to more than 5,500 destinations across 40 countries, including the UK, Brazil and Canada.
André Schwämmlein, Founder and CEO of Flix, said:We are pursuing our vision together, by combining Flix innovative technology and global mobility knowledge with Greyhound’s expertise in serving customers in North America for more than 100 years through its extensive network.
We are now benefiting from each other’s history and knowledge to build the future. Our goal is to strengthen, simplify, and ignite our operations, so that we can provide even more affordable and sustainable travel options not only for people across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, but across the world.
