Wrightbus has announced that its GB Kite Electroliner electric bus is in production in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

This model makes Wrightbus the only UK bus manufacturer to offer four zero-exhaust-emission vehicles, joining its double and single-decker Hydroliner buses and the double-decker Electroliner battery-electric bus.

The GB Kite Electroliner battery-electric bus will offer a best-in-class charging time

The GB Kite Electroliner has a fast charging time of just 2.5 hours and a range of up to 250 miles.

It also has an 86 percent parts commonality with Wrightbus’s double-decker Electroliner in order to save operators time and money in fleet maintenance.

The single decker model will have capacity for 88 passengers and has been designed to provide comfortable inter-urban travel for commuters.
