Karsan has been contracted to supply 24 18-metre e-ATA electric buses for TPER Bologna in Italy.

The contract is valued at 18.2 million EUR and also includes the option to provide an additional 7 units.

Karsan will supply Bologna with its first 18-metre electric buses

These buses are expected to be delivered in the last quarter of 2023. Karsan will then also provide the vehicles with maintenance services for 18 years.

Karsan CEO Okan Baş said:

We are proud to add new ones to the successes we have achieved in Italy. After our e-JEST and e-ATAK sales, we are now expanding in the Italian market with e-ATA.

In addition, with this tender we won, we also sold the first pantograph electric bus in the 18-meter class in Italy. At Karsan, we are targeting significant growth in Italy in the forthcoming period.

This contract follows Karsan’s recent order to supply 12 e-ATA 18-metre electric buses to Braşov, Romania.
