Keolis has been chosen to operate a set of two entirely electric public transport networks in southern Denmark.
The contracts, which were awarded by public transport authority Sydtrafik, have been valued at 146 million EUR, and mark the Group’s return to the South Jutland region.

Commencing in June 2026; the first contract (Sydtrafik-21) will last for an initial period of 10 years, with two optional additional years.
The contract will comprise of 15 electric buses and represent roughly 33,300 annual commercial hours, with an estimated revenue of 59 million EUR.
Scheduled to launch in June 2027; the second contract (Sydtrafik-22) will span 10 years, with options of two + two additional years.
This contract will also cover 15 electric buses, approximately 48,800 annual commercial hours and is estimated to generate revenue of 87 million EUR.
Both networks will operate entirely on electricity, reflecting Keolis’s committed policy to support authorities in Denmark with their public transport decarbonisation strategy.

Keolis will operate a total of 30 buses throughout the contract periods, with the move marking the company’s first return to the South Jutland region since 2013.
