Nova Bus has been awarded a contract to supply up to 35 Nova Bus Artic 60-foot buses to the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii.

The articulated ‘clean air diesel’ buses will help modernise Honolulu’s public transport system by delivering a fuel-efficient and EPA-approved ‘clean air diesel’ propulsion system.

They will also provide increased capacity to support the growing demand for transit in the region.

The new buses will be delivered over a three-year period and will join the 24 Nova Bus 40-foot buses already in operation in Honolulu.

Martin Larose, President of Nova Bus said:

We are looking forward to delivering our first 60’ articulated buses to Honolulu. We’re excited to partner once again with the City and County of Honolulu to provide reliable, energy-efficient and safe buses to public transit users in the region.

Honolulu’s transit network includes 107 bus lines, which serve over 600,000 passengers each week.
