PSI Transcom at IT-Trans in Karlsruhe 2024

PSI presents software solutions for depot and charging management as well as personnel dispatching at the IT-Trans.

PSI Transcom GmbH will showcase its AI-based depot and charging management system PSIebus from May 14 to 16, 2024 at IT-Trans in Karlsruhe (booth E30, hall 1), which creates a digital workflow for processes in the depot and serves as the basis for automated dispatching.

The focus will also be on the potential of driverless bus movement within depots to improve efficiency and reliability of operations. Additionally, new modules for the personnel dispatching system Profahr will be presented.

PSIebus automatically considers the current charging status and predicted remaining range of the electric buses during flexible vehicle deployment planning, supporting dispatching with appropriate suggestions. Therefore, it uses the integrated AI technology PSIqualicision AI and determines optimized solutions within seconds. The integrated charging and load management takes into account relevant aspects of network monitoring and control and develops strategies for the existing charging infrastructure. The system predicts, controls and regulates energy consumption while simultaneously monitoring compliance with charging performance.

Based on initial results from the IDEA (Innovative Depot Automation) research project, it will be demonstrated how driverless and self-coordinating vehicles will be able to move to the locations designated by depot management, such as parking spaces, car washes or charging stations. This will reduce personnel and infrastructure costs and achieve significantly more effective operating processes.

With the extension modules of the Profahr personnel scheduling system, employee requests can be met with significantly more than 80 percent and automatically scheduled, taking into account individual and company regulations. Through a shift and vacation exchange marketplace, employees can also independently exchange already assigned shifts or vacation days. The modules can be operated and accessed as mobile applications and via a digital workbook, independent of time and location.
