Solaris is currently taking part in the TRANSEXPO International Fair of Public Transport, which takes place in Kielce between 14–16 October.
During the Fair, Solaris will showcase two of its latest zero-emission models; the compact Urbino 10,5 electric and the new-generation Urbino 12 hydrogen.

Urbino 10,5 Electric
One of the vehicles on display, the Urbino 10,5 electric, recently won a Sustainable Bus Award in the Urban category. The bus was initially unveiled during Busworld 2025 in Brussels, and at TRANSEXPO the vehicle will be presented to the Polish public for the first time.
Specifically designed for routes where a standard 12-metre vehicle would not be the most optimal solution, the Urbino 10,5 electric is a compact, fully electric bus measuring in at 10.5 metres in length. It is capable of accommodating up to 85 passengers, including up to 33 seated. It features a towerless driveline architecture, providing more space for passengers and greater flexibility in the arrangement of key vehicle components. The vehicle is equipped with a 240 kW electric motor, as well as Solaris High Energy batteries with a total capacity of up to 400 kWh.
This model allows for charging via both a plug-in connector and a pantograph, and complies with all GSR2 safety requirements. It can be equipped with a slew of advanced driver assistance systems, and features a CO2 heat pump-enabled air-conditioning system.
Urbino 12 Hydrogen New Generation
The second vehicle on display will be the Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen new generation. Also based on a unified platform without an engine tower, the bus utilises the additional space to increase the total number of seats available at its rear, as well as allow a more flexible arrangement of roof-mounted components, facilitating service access to key systems.
Solaris’ vehicle utilises a hydrogen fuel cell with an output of over 70 kW, with all electricity generated by the fuel cell powering a centrally mounted traction motor. The traction battery itself also plays a role, providing additional power during peak demand and storing energy recovered through the use of regenerative braking.
As with the Urbino 10,5 electric; the hydrogen new generation model on display also features safety and driver assistance solutions compliant with GSR2 requirements including blind spot monitoring, systems warning of potential hazards around the vehicle, driver drowsiness monitoring, and Intelligent Speed Assistance.
Solaris’ offering at TRANSEXPO 2026 is located at booth 9B10.
